About me
Why I Do This Work?
About Me
My name is Zhenya Mitrofanova. I’m a body-oriented therapist, massage practitioner, and teacher with almost 9 years of hands-on experience — and a deep love for this work.
I’m originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, and for the last two years I’ve been living in Israel. I truly enjoy working here — I meet people with open hearts, who are ready to connect with their bodies and go deeper into themselves.
I’m a kinesthetic person. Touch has always been my natural language — the way I understand people, emotions, pain, and care. I’ve worked with people all my life, but about nine years ago, I found the massage approach that truly spoke to me — and I’ve been deepening it ever since.
I started with Thai massage and explored many techniques since then:
Thai (classic, osteopathic, dynamic), deep tissue, Swedish, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, fascia work, soft osteopathic approaches, and body-oriented therapy.
But for me, technique is never the goal. I follow the body, not a routine. I listen, adapt, and bring presence.
Each session is unique — a mix of touch, attention, and deep listening.
I also hold a university degree in body-oriented psychological counseling,
which helps me see what the body holds — not just pain, but stories, emotions, and needs.
Sometimes my sessions feel like therapy. Sometimes they feel like a ritual.
But always — it’s about coming back home to your body, your breath, your self.
And yes — I also teach. I believe touch is not only healing, but something we all need to understand and use with more care and presence — in everyday life.
*I am not yet a licensed psychologist in Israel, but I hold a relevant academic degree and professional experience in the body-oriented therapeutic field.
